Marcel-Robert Trophy finalist Keven Guérette-Charland (ECS '89)

14-year-old commits to UVM hockey team (Connor Antoine- ECS '93)

A 14-year-old forward with the Portland Junior Pirates has verbally committed to the University of Vermont men’s hockey team with plans to join the Catamounts in the fall of 2011.

According to the Junior Pirates’ Web site, Connor Anthoine of Lewiston, Maine, has made a verbal commitment to accept a full scholarship from UVM. The offer is contingent upon acceptance at UVM.

QMJHL defenseman one suave costumer (Yann Sauve - ECS '90)

Yann Sauvé finally feels like he’s back in the groove.

After what he describes as a slow start to the season, the Saint John Sea Dogs’ defenseman has turned his game around, and the scouts have certainly noticed.

Sauvé, a 6-foot-2, 208-pound native of Rigaud, Quebec, was rated 21st among North American prospects by NHL Central Scouting in the mid-term rankings for this summer’s NHL Entry Draft. He is the top-rated defenseman in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and has helped his third-year team earn respect throughout the league.

Colten St. Clair commits to Colorado College

PF Chang’s U18AAA forward Colten St. Clair gave a verbal commitment this past weekend to Head Coach Scott Owens to attend Colorado College and become a Tiger for the 2010 hockey season.  While in Colorado Springs, Colorado for a tournament, St. Clair was extremely impressed with the Colorado College hockey program, the coaching staff and the academic environment.  Click here to see the entire article.

Biega Named to Preseason All-ECAC Team (9/24/07)
Media members covering ECAC Hockey have voted Harvard sophomore defenseman Alex Biega to their men's preseason all-league team, the league announced Monday at its annual media day.  Click here to see the entire article.


2007 Selects Hockey Teams win 8 Tournaments

Selects Hockey completes its most successful season ever in 2007 by winning 8 tournaments out of 20 tournaments entered (40%).

Congrats to all players and coaches for a great season!

Selects Hockey 2007 Players of the Year

Selects Hockey has announced the 2007 Players of the Year. The following players displayed great leadership, work ethic and character throughout the 2007 season. Congrats to all players.

Harding Named GM & Head Coach for Lewiston MAINEiacs

Selects Hockey Camp Instructor for the past three season, Ed Harding, is the new GM and Head Coach of he Lewiston MAINEiacs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. As a first task at the head of the program Ed restructured his scouting staff and added 3 Selects Hockey scouts to his team (Roger Shannon, Marc Lapointe and Armand St.Pierre). Best of luck to the whole Lewiston team in defending their title in 2008.
